Anduril Industries announced on Feb. 11 it will assume control over Microsoft's $22 billion contract to develop and produce the U.S. Army's Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS).
The IVAS system integrates augmented and virtual reality technologies to enhance soldiers' situational awareness and mission command capabilities.
Under the new agreement, Anduril will oversee production and future hardware and software development for IVAS, while Microsoft Azure will remain the preferred cloud service for related workloads.
The transition is pending approval from the U.S. Department of Defense.
