High Speed Contacts

High Speed Contacts for Harsh Environment Data Transmission
Amphenol Military High Speed’s family of high-speed copper contacts are designed to deliver low-loss, high-frequency signal transmission. Our comprehensive selection of high-speed copper contacts are specifically designed for high-bandwidth data capabilities in harsh environment military and aerospace applications. Our contacts can be implemented into many of our circular connectors, rectangular connectors, and integrated solutions, and include:
Quadrax Contacts: These contacts feature an outer shell enclosing four inner contacts, strategically arranged to create two differential pairs with a controlled impedance of either 100 or 150 Ohms. Also available are Split-Pair Quadrax Contacts that offer greater bandwidth than standard CAT5E quadrax – up to 6.5 Gbps per pair. Amphenol Military High Speed also offers FiberQuad – a rugged Quadrax contact with an embedded fiber optic transmitter or fiber optic receiver and the supporting electronics to provide a plug-and-play high speed solution.
Twinax Contacts: Our Differential Twinax Contacts feature two inner contacts enclosed within an outer shell arranged to form either two 100 or 150 Ohm matched impedance differential pairs, while our Concentric Twinax Contacts are designed for high-performance connectivity in multi-pin connectors and are crimp terminable to twisted shielded cables.
Coaxial Contacts: Amphenol Military High Speed offers Coaxial Contacts for reliable high speed data transmission in RF/microwave and shielded wire applications. Also available are Matched Impedance Coaxial Contacts that feature a secure inner contact that locks into place within the outer contact, preventing movement or retraction when the cable is subjected to bending, as well as High Frequency Coaxial Contacts that provide DC to 40 GHz high frequency capability allowing expansion of use to include microwave transmission lines.
Triax Contacts: Designed for use with Triax cable, Triax Contacts incorporate three conductors with each separated by a dielectric insulation to isolate ground planes.
Octonet Contacts: These contacts are specially designed for MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors and feature four 100 Ohm matched impedance differential pairs through eight strategically spaced inner contacts. We also offer a specialty Octonet variant that features Embedded 1G/10G Base-T Transformers.
We also offer a selection of Fiber Optic Termini for use in our high-speed fiber optic connectors.
