[U.S. ARMY]
The U.S. Army awarded Lockheed Martin a $4.8 billion contract for two full-rate production lots of Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) all-weather rockets and associated equipment.
GMLRS rocket munitions are used with the Lockheed Martin HIMARS and MLRS launcher systems and are guided via a GPS-aided inertial guidance package and small maneuvering canards on the nose.
The contract work is expected to be completed in 2026.
