US State Department OKs possible F-35 deal with Czech Republic

The U.S. State Department approved on June 29 a potential sale of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters to the Czech Republic.
The potential deal has an estimated value of up to $5.62 billion and includes as many as 24 fighters, 70 AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM), various bombs, and other associated parts and equipment.
The proposed sale will require congressional approval to proceed.
