Boeing reaches deal with Ethiopian Airlines for up to 67 passenger aircraft

The deal features 11 787-9 Dreamliners and 20 737-8 MAX jets with the potential for 36 more aircraft.

Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines came to an agreement recently on an order for up to 67 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX aircraft. 

 

The agreement with the Ethiopian flag carrier features an order for 11 of the 787-9 Dreamliner models and 20 of the 737-8 MAX models, with an opportunity for 15 and 21 additional jets, respectively. 

 

The 206-foot 787-9 can seat 296 passengers and has a range of 7,565 nautical miles (14,010 kilometers). The 129-foot, 8-inch 737-8 MAX can seat 162-178 passengers with a range of 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 kilometers).
