Generator Control Unit (GCU)

A Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) AC to DC Power supply, often referred to as a Generator Control Unit (GCU), accepts very wide input range 3 phase AC power that accommodates the wide voltage swings often experienced with these types of generators. Its non-isolated topology provides high efficiency, light weight and a small form factor which makes the GCU power supply very attractive for systems that are powered by a PMG such as light weight UAV, avionics, electronic warfare and other military applications.
