Boeing Secures $4 Billion in Contracts for KC-46A Tankers and P-8A Poseidon Aircraft

The U.S. Air Force and Navy awards cover 15 aerial refueling tankers and seven maritime patrol aircraft.

Boeing secured a pair of contracts recently worth more than $4 billion for KC-46A aerial refueling tankers and P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft.

 

The company has secured a $2.38 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force to build 15 additional KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling tankers under the Lot 11 procurement. This contract increases the total number of KC-46A tankers on contract globally to 168.

 

Boeing has also received a $1.68 billion modification to a prior fixed-price contract, expanding its scope to include the procurement and delivery of seven Lot 13 P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft for the U.S. Navy and international customers under Foreign Military Sales agreements.
