Poland signs contract for 800 Hellfire Missiles

Poland has signed a contract to purchase 800 AGM-114R2 Hellfire II Missiles from the U.S.
The missiles are planned to be used with the Polish Air Force’s new fleet of 32 Leonardo AW149 helicopters, which the country signed a deal to acquire in July 2022. Poland also requested last year to acquire 96 Boeing AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, which is still pending.
The missiles, produced by Lockheed Martin, are expected to be delivered starting this year through 2029. The contract is worth approximately $150 million.
