The U.S. Army and Navy conducted a successful end-to-end flight test of the Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) system at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Dec. 12.

This test involved the Battery Operations Center and a Transporter Erector Launcher, both integral components of the LRHW system.

The LRHW, known as "Dark Eagle," is a surface-to-surface hypersonic missile capable of traveling at speeds greater than Mach 5. The data collected from this test will inform assessments of the system’s readiness for operational deployment.
