US approves sale of Sidewinder missiles to Romania

The deal features up to 300 of the air-to-air missiles.

The US has approved a potential sale of Raytheon AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II air-to-air missiles to Romania.

 

The deal features up to 300 missiles with a value of approximately $340 million.

 

The missiles are intended for Romania’s fleet of F-16 fighters.
