US Approves Sales of F-16s to Turkey, F-35s to Greece

The U.S. State Department has approved sales of F-16 fighters to Turkey and F-35 fighters to Greece totaling dozens of jets each.
The F-16 sale features 40 new F-16s to Turkey with equipment to modernize approximately 80 existing F-16s in the country’s fleet. The F-35 sale features 40 new F-35s and associated equipment to Greece.
The F-16 sale to Turkey encompasses upwards of $23 billion with more than $8.6 billion for the F-35 sale to Greece.
