Amphenol’s Ruggedized VME64x rectangular connectors were developed with the military’s need for rugged connector solutions and the trend toward utilizing COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) boards, backplanes or chassis. By utilizing a rugged contact system, our VME64x connectors can withstand the shock and vibration environments that other COTS VME connectors cannot. They also meet requirements for Level 2 maintenance. Compliant with VME64x specification, these connectors will mount to standard VME64x cards and backplanes but cannot be intermated to other manufacturers.

- Metal Shells create a faraday cage around the contacts preventing ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) on the module side
- Single shell houses all 3 module inserts
- P1/J1/P2/J2/P0/J0 can be used in different combinations (contact Amphenol)
- Robust contact system
- Module contacts are thru-hole solder tail
- Backplane contact are either thru-hole solder tail or solderless compliant tail
